Overview
The bagSPEC is an automatic detection system for radioactive material to avoid illicit trafficking and to protect security areas like airports. The easy to operate bagSPEC can be mounted directly on-top of the conveyer belt which feeds the scanner for hand luggage at airports. The system works fully automatic. In case of radioactive material passing the bagSPEC, an alarm sounder and a red display indicates hidden material in the corresponding bag. The alarm is confirmed via the touch screen.
It includes a 2" x 2" NaI(Tl) scintillation detector, nanoSPEC MCA and pocket PC with touch screen. An optional 3He neutron detector is available.
