Overview

Weighing only 3 pounds, the Griffin X-Sorber is ideal for remote air sampling providing multiple sample collection methods in Class 1, Division II atmospheres. Compatible with the Griffin 450 GC/MS/MS system, the X-Sorber provides flexible options for a broad range of operational scenarios. Utilizing multiple low-cost X-Sorber units allows simultaneous sample acquisition at multiple locations of interest. Upon completion of sample collection, each X-Sorber can be docked with the Griffin 450 for sample desorption and data download. A second docking port in the Griffin 450 provides a conditioning station for recently sampled X-Sorbers to be prepared for re-use.

Flexible Sampling

The Griffin X-Sorber expands the analytical flexibility of the Griffin 450 through multiple operational scenarios. The X-Sorber can be hand carried to any remote location where the user can take time-based, volume-based or manual samples on the dual, reusable sorbent tubes. These sorbent tubes are compatible with other commercially available thermal desorber systems. Upon docking with the Griffin 450, the X-Sorber automatically desorbs and downloads the sample information for real time analysis.
