For Trace Explosives Detection Equipment

Explosives Testing and Training Range

ICx Technologies has established a 40-acre Explosives Testing and Training Range for use in the development and testing of trace explosives detection equipment and other military defense hardware. Areas of the Range have been designated for research concerning the fate and transport of explosive materials, new equipment testing and training. The ICx Testing and Training Range includes a series of quarantined bunkers to segregate the storage of a variety of explosive materials to aid in the scientific testing of explosives detection equipment, as well as qualitative training exercises.

The Test Range was set up and is overseen by a certified ICx Range Officer, a former Marine EOD Technician with over twenty years of experience managing and handling explosive ordnance as well as the establishment and maintenance of explosives testing facilities. ICx has implemented standards that meet or exceed ATF security protocols. These efforts are designed to further enhance the capabilities and quality of the Fido Portable Explosives Detector and other homeland and military security equipment.

In addition, a number of ICx personnel have in-theatre experience administering training and supporting detection operations utilizing the Fido in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. This experience in conjunction with the cumulative knowledge of our subject matter experts and specialized scientists ensures that all personnel utilizing the ICx Explosives Testing and Training Range receive the highest quality support and guidance during training and research operations.
