VIDEO MANAGEMENT

ICx matches operational needs with the appropriate technologies to help clients better manage roadways and other assets. Our Cameleon ITS software allows clients to manage, control and share closed-circuit television cameras – along with dynamic message signs, sensors, and other ITS devices – from a variety of vendors to provide highly functional, affordable solutions.

Key Client Results: We helped Caltrans District 4 test and install new encoding technologies with legacy systems and provided a Cameleon-based video management system for integrated operations. This allowed Caltrans to continue to make use of its existing systems, ensuring that previous investments in ITS technology are not wasted.

ADVANCED TRAVELER INFORMATION SYSTEMS

ICx has developed and deployed award-winning traveler information systems available to individual travelers via phone and Internet. We apply new business models providing revenue to support system operations and maintenance. Our systems implement highly innovative and user-friendly features, leading the market in customer satisfaction and usage.

Key Client Results: We helped the Metropolitan Transportation Commission develop and deploy My511^SM, a state-of-the-art personalized traveler information system, to better serve San Francisco Bay Area travelers.

TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT

ICx provides expertise in operations, lane and sign control, electronic tolling solutions, probe-based traffic management, data integration, and data fusion.

Key Client Results: Working under a compressed schedule, we helped Caltrans District 11 extend the I-15 reversible lane corridor in San Diego – meeting the District’s required schedule for opening.

SECURITY SYSTEMS

ICx provides security solutions for ports, transit properties and state and local police to support the protection of people and infrastructure. Our work includes leveraging ITS systems to provide security and emergency operations center functions.

Key Client Results: We helped the New York Power Authority identify security vulnerabilities at the Niagara hydroelectric power plant and prepared a bid package for contractors to deploy technologies to better secure the facility. The Authority also chose to use Cameleon as a tool to manage some of the technologies.

ITS FOR TRANSIT

ICx Transportation is a unique group with the skills and experience in operations, real time fleet management, security and traveler information to provide transit agencies assistance in identifying, deploying and managing technology solutions for today’s challenges.

Key Client Results: ICx is providing a turnkey ITS solution for the Orange County Transportation Authority’s Bus Rapid Transit service. This system, which will include an advanced passenger information system, will increase OCTA’s ridership and passenger satisfaction.
