Low-Light CCD Camera and High-Powered Spotlight
Overview
The Illuminator is a unique deterrence system that utilizes a day / low-light CCD camera with a high-power spotlight to detect, deter and immobilize intruders. The spotlight on the Illuminator is available in both a 7.5 and 12 million-candlepower (MCP) option, and can detect and temporarily disorient intruders within a one-mile radius. When paired with an ICx millimeter wave radar; the Illuminator can be a powerful addition to detect, visibly Illuminate intruders, and show security forces where to respond.
Strengthen Standoff Protection
The Illuminator provides a non-lethal deterrence mode which uses a high-powered strobe light that can temporarily blind or disorient intruders. Additionally, it can serve as an alert to unwanted traffic in the vicinity (people, boats, cars, etc.) that they are in a restricted area and encourage them to leave. The Illuminator is available in both a covert or non-covert option and extended range performance can be achieved through the addition of an optional HyperZoom Lens.
Applications
The Illuminator is ideally suited for day and night perimeter security, border surveillance, law enforcement, crowd control, deterrence and search and rescue operations. Featuring a sleek integrated pan and tilt design, the camera is capable of continuous 360° panning, -80° to +27° tilt and has the ability to withstand temperatures ranging from -40° to +60°C. An external heater is available for extreme temperature situations. The ruggedized housing is environmentally sealed to meet NEMA4X and IP66 specifications and has been tested and certified by an independent lab.
Ease of Integration
Out of the box, the Illuminator is ready to integrate into your system. It supports most protocols used in commercial and military applications and can easily be integrated into existing fiber, wireless or IP networks. It can also interface with Video Motion Detection (VMD), radar, Unattended Ground Sensors (UGS) or other trigger sensors for a “slew to cue” solution.
