Representative Examples
Panama Canal Surveillance System
ICx Cameleon software integrates and controls over 600 cameras distributed over the fifty-mile length of the canal. Cameleon interfaces with legacy analog equipment no longer supported by even the original manufacturers. And it integrates with newer digital equipment, allowing the Canal Authority to add new technology incrementally, without deploying new hardware system-wide. Images are integrated with the access control system and displayed on large format monitors in two control rooms. Cameleon also protects ten military bases.
Orlando Regional Traffic Management Center, Orlando, Florida
ICx Cameleon Intelligent Traffic System networks over 150 surveillance cameras, and over 50 dynamic sign control systems spanning a 1,000-square-mile area of Florida's highway transportation system. The system also supports security systems for 3 critical bridges, automatically collects data, volume, speed, and occupancy data from over 150 radar and loop detectors, and interfaces with a 511 Web-based incident management system. Command-center hardware displays output on a video wall, and includes digital recording and video analytics.
Advanced Traveler Information System
ICx Transportation managed the turnkey delivery of the systems and services which collect and disseminate accurate, timely travel information in the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area. The system gathers and fuses traffic and transit information from numerous sources, which includes interfacing with pre-existing Caltrans and California Highway Patrol (CHP) systems, and relays it to data dissemination devices and services for use by Bay Area travelers. Real time information on estimated congestion; driving times; traffic and construction incidents; and transit information is accessible via the Internet at traffic.511.org; an interactive telephone number; and other dissemination methods.
